Accutrend Cholesterol Test Strips A pack of 25 Cholesterol test strips for use with the Accutrend Plus Meter, Accutrend GCTL and Accutrend GC meters. Accutrend test strips work with the Accutrend testing system to determine the cholesterol count in the blood. Accutrend Plus uses specially designed test strips that contain a yellow protective mesh, impregnated with a surfactant (application field) for superior quality measurements. A glass fibre fleece works as a separating layer for blood cells. The colour formation takes place within a reaction film. A barcode is located on the reverse side of the test strip. The meter confirms test strip identity, i.e. the lot number on the test strip is congruent with the stored code. Suitable for self-testing, the strips are used by firstly performing a simple finger prick technique to draw blood. The drawn blood is placed onto the strip and put the strip into the Accutrend testing system for an effective measurement.
